JOB VACANCY
Regional Service Engineer
Established over 15 years abbey fire & security are the leading BAFE accredited fire & security provider for many businesses and organisations all over East Anglia. Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity available for an experienced engineer to join our expanding team and make a mark at an exciting time of planned expansion.
About the Role:
Field based and covering a wide-range of sectors from education, care, social & commercial, the successful candidate will work closely with our dynamic fire & security team to deliver exceptional services throughout East Anglia. This role requires strong a strong eye for compliance, together with good interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service and results.
System Services:
- Fire Detection & Warning Systems
- Emergency Lighting
- Fire Extinguishers (experience preferred but not essential)
- Security/Intruder Alarms (experience preferred but not essential)
Key Responsibilities:
- PPM Servicing
- Emergency Breakdowns
- Fault Finding
- Remedial/Compliance Works & Repairs
Required Experience:
- At least 3 years engineering experience
- Good understanding of BS5839
- Self-motivated, proactive and a particular an eye for compliance
- Pass a DBS Check
- Full UK Driving License
- Honest, reliable and well presented

Fire Door Co-Ordinator
Established over 15 years abbey fire & security are the leading accredited fire protection provider for many businesses and organisations all over East Anglia. Due to continued growth, our fire door division (abbey fire doors) have an opportunity available for an experienced co-ordinator to join our expanding team and make your mark at an exciting time of planned expansion.
About the Role:
Based from our offices in Thetford, Norfolk and covering a wide-range of sectors from education, care, social & commercial, the successful candidate will work closely with our dynamic carpentry team to co-ordinate and deliver exceptional passive fire protection services throughout East Anglia. This fast-paced role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills together with a passion for delivering exceptional service and results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordination and management of fire door inspections, upgrades & repairs
- CRM system management
- Purchase ordering
- Reports, certification, works quotations & invoices
Required Experience:
- Good IT skills/experience working with CRM Systems & MSO
- At least 3 years coordinating experience (fire door preferable but not essential)
- Excellent ability to communicate, organise and be resourceful
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a structured approach
- Self-motivated, proactive with an eye for detail
